Young DGK science Meeting

Die gemeinsam von der Young DGK Task Force Basic Science, des DGK Basic Science Clusters und dem Deutschen Zentrum für Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung e.V. organisierte Veranstaltung Young DGK Science bietet Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen und -wissenschaftlern ein Forum zur Diskussion dieser Fragen mit erfahrenen und renommierten Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern.

The Young DGK Task Force Basic Science, DGK Basic Science Cluster, and DZHK together provide with the Young DGK Science meeting a platform for talented and motivated early-career-stage scientists to present and discuss their scientific findings with experts in basic cardiovascular research. Don´t miss the exciting scientific program with slots for young investigator presentations and time for stimulating discussions and networking.

The Young DGK Task Force Basic Science provides a platform for talented and motivated early-career-stage scientists to present and discuss their scientific findings with experts in the cardiovascular field. Keynote speaker: Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Christian Weber (Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention, LMU, Munich)

Sessions / Topics: Scientific publishing – insights from an editor with Vesna Todorović (Editor in Chief Nature Cardiovascular Research); Inflammation in CVD; Fish or cell culture dish – how to choose the correct models for cardiovascular research; The heart at the center of multi-organ crosstalk; Career panel discussions and Networking sessions.

The meeting is free and all participants will receive a 100 Euro fellowship for accommodation and travel expenses.

Please indicate in your application if you will need a hotel room. A contingent of hotel rooms will be reserved for all participants at the Ibis Styles Halle. The fee is 83 € per night, which can be paid from the travel fellowship.
